Our origins
An idea born from wine
Francesca Gallerini becomes a FISAR-certified sommelier in 2012. In the years that follow, technical training is matched by hands-on experience — in the dining room, among producers, at events. It is there that a conviction takes shape: that wine, to truly express itself, needs someone capable of serving the moment, not performing for it.
In 2015, WS Winesommelier is founded: a group of certified professionals who share the same approach — rigour, discretion, attention to context. A collective designed for those who organise events where every element must be consistent with the rest, especially and above all in the glass.
Our approach
Wine is not poured, it is told.
For WS Winesommelier, the sommelier service does not begin when the first bottle is opened. It begins earlier, in the understanding of the event, its tone, and those who will experience it. Every choice, from label selection to floor service timing, is the result of careful listening and preparation that leaves nothing to chance.
No two events are the same, and no two proposals are the same. This is the starting point: understand before acting, build before executing.
Those who attend a well-served event rarely know how to explain why they felt at ease, why that evening stayed with them. Often the answer lies in the details: in whoever refilled the glass at exactly the right moment, in whoever answered a question with expertise and lightness, in whoever worked in silence so that everything felt natural.
